Keyless Entry installation problem with factory alarm
Hi guys. I’m currently installing a keyless entry to my S5. I’ve done the search and did everything as advice from the search. Mainly by Icemark (thank you). Everything of the keyless entry work except disarming the factory alarm along with the unlock of the keyless entry.
I “T” the light green/ Black wire at the kick panel to the unlock wire of the keyless entry which also connects to the unlock wire at the door actuator. Between the wire is the 1N4004 diode. The strange thing here is that the moment this wire is connected, the security light turns on. And when I press on the unlock button, the light will go off briefly (like a blink) and remain illuminated constantly. The alarm is in the mode whereby it thinks that the key is in the unlock position the whole time.
Is almost like I want it to do the direct opposite of what’s going on. Anyone knows the solution to this. Thanks in advance!
Additional information - I’ve had an aftermarket alarm system which I’ve removed for this keyless entry. I doubt this would effect anything since I’ve removed everything clean and most of the points that connects to the factory wiring is the same.

Did a little more research on google and realised that my keyless entry could be a positive output but what the factory alarm needs is a ground pulse. Does this mean that I should wire up a 5 wire relay to reverse the polarity? Anyone has any idea that I’m heading the right direction?

It worked with the solution above.
