The seat belt assembly is bolted to the side of the car near the edge of the bins about half way up.
There are 2 pieces of "trim" if you want to call it that to remove to get to them. The bottom has a slot for the belt and the top has a hole to put the Seat belt guide onto the inside body of the car.
I gotta do a replacement today.IF I remember I will try to get pics.

yes, the S4 and non USA S5 all have it.
if you have a US S5, you need the top and bottom, as there is a bulge in the US one to make room for the stupid motor for the stupid auto seatbelt. the frame for the bins and the rear carpet are different too

I've twice converted US spec S5s to manual belts and my advice is to work with the plastic you have...it's soo much simpler.
The "escape slot" (at the top of the lower b-pillar panel where the belt first emerges) is easily cut (start small and embiggen as necessary) and the upper pivot hole is simple to find and drill.
S4 plastics will NOT fit and good luck finding Canadian S5 plastic without a struggle.
You'll also save a lot of effort if you strip the seats and center console out first. The console comes out anyway to remove the center belt reel (and there's another difference...the manual belt console does not have the clearance profile on the bottom edge for this reel) and the seats are just generally in the way.

happily the Vert uses the manual seatbelt center console. only the US S5 coupe is the weird one, of course its easy enough to just keep using it.
i've found getting the interior plastics from Japan to be pretty easy, the other plus is that except for the vert, all of the non US cars had black interior.
the seat belts themselves are tough though, they actually sell for pretty big money.

Well I got mine in but unfortunately I had my Buddy who is half blind(literally) jump in and start helping me..
So I had to oversee just about everything and totally Brainfarted on getting any pics.
I am surprised the plastic got hammered on and didn't bust!

If someone didn't mention it..MAZDA has an Open recall on the Auto Seatbelts.
If you want to keep them you can get them fixed for nothing at Mazda..(once per car).
