K2RD and OMP

Anybody have feedback on ordering parts from K2RD? Just curious before I order from them. I'm ordering the OMP block off plate for my S4.

Also..with the OMP, i read about putting a dime inside that little gear deal to stop it from spinning? is there a purpose for this or just because?

Why would it be needed? the only thing i can think of is for the pump to stop pushing oil, or trying to, but, i still dont see what the big deal with that is. Hell, i made a block off plate in just a few minutes with a dremel with a cuttoff wheel and some scrap 2MM aluminum sheeting i had laying around. I have made all my block offs with that at probably a fraction of what the K2RD kit was. To each his own i guess, im sure the K2RDs look better.....

I make mine out of Stainless plate with a Plasma Cutter. I remove the OMP Shaft completely and block the oil line feed to it. I don't like the idea of a dime in the end of the shaft, it still rotates and metal against metal......well its your engine

I cant see how they could keep it from turning, but what about whatevers turning the gear, thats still gonna wanna spin it? Elaborate for me please.

The OMP shaft is rotated by the accessory drive gear on the eccentric shaft. If you don't want to remove the OMP shaft, just remove the drive gear. piece Number# 14-6251 on the attached BMP file

omp

I made my own, or just take the drive gear out.....

Its cool having to mix clean oil thats being injected into your engine instead of dirty oil.

But, after a while, ITS FRIEKING ANNOYING!!!

hehe, the wonders of standalone......
