Just Bought An Rx7 Some Questions

hi i have a few questions about my rx7 gxl first is that it takes about 6 to 8 seconds of cranking before the car starts. it has a new battery, is this normal? also the coolant light buzzes randomly but there is enough coolant and theres non leaking out the overflow. any help would be appreciated

-thanks

No overheating? Leaks? If not, its probably just a bad sensor, ....if the noise gets too unbearable(and i know it will) just disconnect the the coolant sensor on top of you radiator.....but make sure it IS just the sensor and not something more serious to avoid you engine overheating....

do some more searching on hard starts. it should answer ur questions. 2 main reasons are low compression and flooding, but flooding is usually caused also by low compression worn out housings. probably a tired motor. t2? or n/a? i would not have bought that car if it takes 7 secs to start it regardless if you believed it to simply be a weak battery. whats the charge on ur alt? wheres the voltage reading at?
