I imagine it's "champagne"...it's kinda common on Series IV cars but pretty rare on SV '7s.

I've seen a few dark brown ones I believe. Dunno if they were stock colors though.

I have seen one 2Gen in champagne, but it was a very expensive custom paint job.

Brown with gold wheels sounds like a 1Gen paint scheme. Are you sure that it's not a 1980 model, rather than a 1990?

They did come stock, and it's a very nice color.

It's an "ok" color. My 88 GXL is champagne and it's pretty decent looking but it's just not "sporty" enough.

Hey Stang. Take that RX to 65mph, then do a quick lane change and you will find out what 50-50 weight and rear steer suspension are about. (Just hang on)

65'stang,

Hey welcome to the forum. Sounds like it's a GXL model They make great daily drivers as there SOO tossible (handling), good accelleration, and an rpm range that never seems to quit

Plus you can rev the hell out of 'em and never worry about engine damage

Wow, I have never seen a factory brown 2Gen paintjob. What is your paint code?

Brown was not a factory color:

89-91 colors:

PZ Brilliant Black
SQ Blaze Red
UC Crystal White
WY Noble White
1F Winning Silver Metallic
3G Shadow Silver Metallic
5D Harbor Blue Metallic
5N Brave Blue MC

and I can't find the paint code for the fawn/champange.

Not in the US. You can check to see what color the car was when it left the factory by looking at the paint code on the firewall VIN plate.

S4:
J5 Artic Silver Metallic
K8 Tornado Silver Metallic
PZ Brilliant Black
RH Sunrise Red
UC Crystal White
WU Dover White
WY Noble White
1A Satin Gold Metallic
2H Claret Metallic
3A Royal Maroon Metallic
5A Sapphire Blue Metallic
NP True Red
