Question judging interest for a headlight kit.

hello,

my pms have been getting bombed about my "crazy 88s headlights conversion". Im tying to find out if it would be worth my time to offer these as a kit.

I would have to do the fiberglass work, wireing harness, mounting and full install instructions to make this into a 20 min install kit.

Ill take more pics of them tomarrow in the light.

The will clear if you want them to still go up and down.. but you will ned to get the popups adjuster kit. Im looking into cutting or modifying the bar that raises the lights so they will only pop up roughly half way to complete the look.

As it is now i have the lights opened manually and the fuse taken out so they will stay. When i find a way to alter it i would include it in the kit.

ask any questions you may have.

what projectors are they.
I know they are not hella as they are $65 each.
Also i can modifiy the moter to only rase the light half way. the only problem is that it will then open all the way and then close.

i THINK cutting the bar that raises them will work as the mod needed to flip up only half way. ill look into it asap. im off tomarrow. so ill see what i can do. but tomarrow i have to put in my safc AND get dyno tuned.

cutting the bar is a nogo as when the lights are up the arm on the motor is pointing up and when they are down the arm is pointing down. if you cut the bar the motors will burn up from not being able to go all the way down.

been here b4

I see someone else has made a light kit like my first one, to get the lights to go only halfway up then all the way down is not easy, as previously stated the motors will burn up if not allowed to go all the way down.

Here is a clue for how to do it: "telescopic"

Good luck

You have to modify the rotator assembly to handle it....

but the kit looks great...it needs to function like normal though...

im guessing that add on tab thing changes how high it goes by moving the link point farther away from the pivit point.... looks so simple it just might work.

i want to use as much of the stock setup as possible ot keep cost down. i dont want to add motors or actuators... just modify whats already there... easy and cheap.. thats how us fc people like it.

If they illuminate better than stock, work perfect, are cheap to replace bulbs, look stock, at street legal. I think 100 dollars is a nice price. They look good and it seems like they will light up the road nicely.

How about you keep the motors and everything else intact, and add some sort of air duct where the empty space is (the space that the headlights don't take up)?

well i run with my FTP lenses out and there is a big empty space in there. i think people like the idea of having working flip ups with birghter, better looking lights.

if you would like to go witht the non flip up design it could also be a option.

alright guys, my full day of rx7 work starts now.. im off...

Ive considered this for my current HID setup. Illumination is excellent but it lacks the focus of a projector.
