ok we have one good option so far for making them stay halfway. It involves taking the cover off the motor and very slightly modifying it. If people are willing to do this then there ya go.

Im still looking into a way to make this a nobrainer install.

its dusk now. im going out to take some pics... and when its dark ill take a few more. so check back in about 1 hour for pics of how bright and all that.

If the price was around $100 i'd buy a set for sure. If you say they are bright that works for me. I just need something so I can see at night. Can't ever be to bright unless your the other car coming my way.

The looks doesn't really matter to me if I can open and close them like stock.

i already did this

only difference between your kit and mine is your lights are mounted a little lower, so you can get the top shroud on.

I'll be doing this with the Hella 90mm projector's, that are DOT approved and have been used in formula and auto-X for a long time. I don't want to do this using fog/driving lights. the projector's will have a far better pattern so i can see and don't blind the hell out of the guy I'm driving behind. plus I could then upgrade to the HID if i win the lotto .

im thinking of making this kit.... A How-to. I dont know if im going to have time to fill orders and do the leg work of rounding up useable headlight parts to have a decent turnaround.

So ill take mine apart and take pics.... lots of them and make a parts list. give me a few days. Ill make a new thread with DIY Crazy 88s headlights.

you still need help with the raising and lowering of the lights?

I got this spare 90 sitting here and I don't mind taking the headlight parts apart and cutting and hacking to get them to work right, would be easier than messing with the parts on our car already.

Give me a call if you want to give it a shot.

Also many spare parts from the 90 GTU for sale, you need anything call me,

just give me a few more days... sunday ill take it apart and take pics. Good news is for all you DIY people out there... you should be able to do this setup for about $60 or so.

your gonna need some fiberglass resin and the fiberglass sheets... or mount them like this guy did.

hell... his way seems easier then mine... the main difference is his way eliminates the plastic surround. mine uses the surround as a mounting surface.

see...

so i guess it all depends on what you think looks better.

you did a nice job on the headlight kit jaared...actually my original plan was to have the top shroud on...so it would have looked like yours.

eventually i'm going to make a custom shroud for it. how did you mount your lights on the surround?
