jspec ecu, is it worth it?

I'm ordering a jspec 13bt S4 is there any benefit on spending an extra $150 on the jspec ecu. Because this is going on my 88 T2.
Thanks

If you are odering a J spec 13 bt then get the ECU with it. IIRC the USDM ECU won't work with the JDM engine.

I was told by sale person that the jspec engine should work fine with the usdm ecu so who is right?

Not everyone using the Japanese ECU has problems, but there's no advantage to it. It won't make your car any faster...
