All FC emission harnesses have two ECU plugs and yes they are yellow. The third ECU plug is on the front harness.

Why are you using a J-spec harness?

The engine came with the harness. I'm going with Electromotive set up. The question is that some guy told me that the J-spec harness have 3 connectors to the ECU and my harness have one conector missing. I need to know if that is true, because the harness is in great shape and nothing indicate that an 3rd connector is mising.

Also, what you means with the front harness? That is the one that runs into the driver side of the engine compartment up to the front of the car?

Look for a LHD harness. It'll make your life much easier. Doesn't the Electromotive system come with it's own harness?

He's wrong. The ECU has two plugs from the emissions harness and one plug from the front harness. LHD or RHD doesn't matter, the ECU is physically the same. Only the firmware is different and most of the pins have exactly the same functions.

A lot of people don't seem to realise that J-spec cars are mostly identical to US ones, including the engine and EFI system.

Correct. Look at the ECU wiring diagrams and pin-out chart. Plug 1 (11x2) is from the front harness. It has most of the stuff not on the engine itself, like the ignition system, the power feeds, diagnostic and check connectors, etc.

What functions I will lost with the Electromotive, because one of the plugs for the front harness is not connected to the ECU?

Also, your information is great, that is the kind of information that I cant find on the forum that explain me the connectors and the differences of the US and the J-spec harness.

You're not going to lose any functions. Look at the FSM Fuel System and Wiring Diagram chapters so you know exactly what's on that plug. All the info you need is in there and it'll make your job a lot easier.

From personal experience, what the RHD harness is missing is one of the large yellow connectors up under the dash. The ECU plugs are all the same. There are three of them at the ECU and there are three of them on the RHD harness. You will be missing one of the large connectors under the dash, near the firewall, however. The harness also won't be long enough, but if you're not using it, you don't really care about that. The connector missing from under the dash runs your wipers, and maybe other stuff too. All I know is I couldn't make my car work at all with the J-spec hanress. I've heard of others who had limited functionality, ie the engine ran, but many acc. did not. Good luck.

At the time that I decide to install the Electromotive I will notice what functions I will, lost if any.

Thanks for the help guys,

If you need some RX7 parts please let me know. I have some around. Also I'm looking for a manual steering rack for a 1987 Turbo II and for a driver's side S5 door moulding.
