ECU ground question

Hey, I read that the ECU ground that goes into the block is supposed to be in the rear side housing, but mine is hooked up to the rear rotor housing.

Am I mistaken or should I move it?

Or should I just hook up another ground to another place on the rear side housing (I found one suitable place that's easy to reach) and save the trouble of fiddling around under the UIM?

I wonder if I should make a new ground for the ground on the metal vacuum lines, too?

Ok, so it DOES go on the rear rotor housing.

I guess I'll go and try to clean it and hook up another wire to it...

But otherwise, the ground wires on the ECU itself are probably fine, right? Otherwise it wouldn't run. But an extra ground at the point where it touches the engine couldn't hurt, I think.

It attaches to the rear rotor housing. About a inch or so left of centerline. No need to attach it anywhere else.

Actually I'd bet your looking at the wrong ground wires. The ECU ground wires are on a ring terminal. Two wires I think and they are a part of the EMISSIONS harness. You know, the harness that has the injector plugs etc on it.

IT IS NOT THAT DAMN PIECE OF WIRE ATTACHED NEXT TO THE WIPER MOTOR. Did I say useless wire? Meant to.

No... I know which wires they are

I spent the last 2 hours or so taking the manifold off so I could check the terminal and it's connection. Seemed ok...

I added a ground wire to it...

Damn my back hurts.

Also, I found a bad vacuum hose I need to replace... and I think I may need a new one of those parts that has the large U-shaped vacuum hose on it (it's a solenoid, the other end is the dynamic chamber), since a peice broke off, and although I superglued it back on, I think it might not have a perfect seal.

I'm gonna go take the BAC off and clean it or something...
