Jdm mirror help.

I have a couple of problems.

#1 I cannot get my mirrors to close and I am deathly afraid to break them (as they were not by any means cheap.)

#2 wiring diagram? And how do I know if they're the "auto folding" option? I very highly doubt this but it would be pretty cool if I snagged a pair by mistake.

I have searched the form up-and-down for three days now and I have found plenty of information about JDM folding mirrors. But nothing on how to wire them.

Thank you guys very much for your help

Can you post a pic of the mirrors? If the bases are a solid chunk of plastic like the NADM ones, they won't fold in. It's been awhile since I dabbled in the japanese wiring diagram, but I'll take a look at it this weekend so the fold option can be wired correctly

1. theres a hook that breaks, its available separate/aftermarket they go for about $30 on yahoo japan.

2. there is a power mirror, and manual mirror, and the folding is manual.

Also, does the mirror fold in towards the back of the car or out towards the front

This one has leeway to lean forward but when I try to lean it back it doesn't seem like it wants to

Yes but if I hold the base where it would normally be bolted to the car, with the mirror towards me, I try slowly but forcibly pulling the end of the mirror towards me and nothing happens. It kind of feels stuck

I have a JDM FC. I can tell you that it does take a considerable amount of pressure to get them to fold. I don't usually do it for fear or breaking or wearing out something, but it does work.

Why do you want them to fold so badly? Just leave it alone!
