instant flooding!!

ok guys i have a problem and i know someone on here can help me. also im sure this has been discussed befor so i appologize but the FAQ feature isnt working for me.

THE PROBLEM

-the problem with my streetported 88 naturally aspired rx7 is that it instantly floods. if i turn it off and then turn it back on it wont crank. it died today in the middle of the road and wouldnt start back, it flooded instantly! i pulled it out of the way came back 3 hours later and it started back up. if i turn the key to crank it and it dont catch on the first try, there is no 2nd try, its just instantly flooded so i have to be VERY careful on start up and i just cant afford anymore mistakes like being late for work. if anyone knows what is going on with my car i would greatly appreciate it.

-thanks,cody

Ok- I am assuming it is fuelINFECTED? First thought is fuel pressure regulator has given up.... second thought is that you have a computer/injtector that has taken a crap. My personal expereince with this...I had and injector that was hung wide open and not responding to the computer...so..in other words it was not pulsing...it was just SPRAYING fuel...

First thing that I would do is pull an injector clip off... take a volt meter and ground one side...and then find your positive in the injector clip. Have someone spin the engine over... You should see a jump in voltage then drop... as if it was pulsing... Ok...Repeat on second injector. If both injectors are recieving a pulse signal move onto next suguestion.

CAREFULLY remove one injector and have someone spin the engine over... You should get a nice spray of fuel... BE MINDFULL that you are spraying fuel....maybe into a bucket or something... You should see it pulse...spray....stop....spray...stop...spray...st op...exc... if it is spraying a constant fuel.... You have an issue with your computer... If not.... proceed onto the next injector...

Good luck!

BY THE WAY!! What is sugested in this post is risky...and can cause a fire or some other hellaish problems... BE CAREFULL!
I am saying that...because I had a member send me a VERY rude PM saying that my sugestions cost him his engine...and all this other stuff...so... take it as it is... I have been working on these cars since I was about 10...... I am not factory trained...just trail and error!
