Question Rear Window Defroster, Losing The Lines, 1990 Fc3c

Last couple of days, my rear window defroster in my vert has been losing the capability in several of the "lines". Top 3 good, next 2 off, 3 good, etc. Obviously age has something to do with this, but anyway to fix without changing out the glass, top, etc.?

I don't know what its called, but there is a conductive gel that you paint on the glass. I think it comes with a stencile that you lay on the class and make the cut-out connect the two segments of the line that are missing. Paint the stuff onto the stencile. Remove the stencile and whats left should be connecting the lines so that the whole window will defrost.

Yeah, I just checked in the Haynes manual for my Jeep Grand Cherokee and it shows a repair for the heating element. It says that its a conductive plastic epoxy that is used and its Dupont past number 4817. Lightly buff the area to be cleaned with a fine steel wool, then clean it with rubbing alcohol. Use masking tape to mask off the area where you don't want the stuff to be applied to the glass. There is no stencil. Mix the epoxy via the included instructions and apply it to the glass. Leave it for 24 hours before removing the tape.

No kidding huh? Any ideas on where to get this stuff? Auto parts store, glass shop, Home Depot? Sounds like some interesting stuff. Any more info would be great.
Thanks

It doesn't say where to get it, but I'd check with a place that installs windshields and auto glass, I'm sure they would know about this kind of product. I never used it, I just remembered seeing it in the book so all I know is how to apply it.

If anyone is interested, recommended to get the repair kit at FrostFighter.com. Kit costs 19.95, if its just the "grid", but other products if more than that.

Any auto store should have rear defroster repair kit. We usedto use them to unlock Athlon processors for overclocking

Its a bottle of conductive paint.
