Installing an FD E-fan

Just wondering if anyones done it? Im planning on installing an FD fan within the next week or two and wanted to see some feedback on it. I was thinking of tapping a sensor by the filler neck of the water pump? Hows the fan line up with the stock mounting points on the FC? Any hints or tips on the wiring of the fan motors and thermostat? Thanks in advance.

Have you bought it yet? If not, go pull one off a 86 fiero. They are a lot cheaper and work just as well. The shroud built into the fan covers my entire rad, which is always a good thing.

anyone try a Taurus fan? a buddy of mine got one and it looks like the shroud on it would fit the radiator a bit better. plus its a fast fan, its even got 2 speeds, on the high speed it moves a ton of air. i think its off the 89-92 model taurus. i imagine it would be fairly cheap too

Please stop bumping the topic. It's obvious that no one has installed an FD fan.

There are cheaper and better fans available. Also, the FD unit is multispeed, which will probably require some sort of control circuit. Or, it might just work at full speed when 12V is applied. Don't know for sure, but either way it is a poor choice of fan.

I see. Well i've also heard some neg. comments on the fiero fan. So between that and the FAL fan, are there any other choices?
