injectors wont fire :(

i got a s4 t2 swap and my injectors are not firing. i have low impendance injectors on a 88 t2 harness. i wired up 10 ohms 10 watt resistors from radioshack, on the ecu end of the injector wiring, but it still wont fire. any suggestions?

How do you know the injectors aren't firing?

i held them in the fuel rail outside off the intake mani while my friend cranked the motor. both primary and secondaries.

First, secondaries won't fire on cranking.
They will only kick in over 3.5k RPM's or so and also dependent on load.

Second, can you verify the ECU is seeing RPM's?
Does the tach jump when you're cranking the engine?

Third, can you verify you have good fuel pressure?

iono if i got good fuel pressure, but i got a walboro fuel pump that is putting fuel into the rails. yes the tach jumps while cranking and a little bit of gas got into the intake mani when i was messing with the injectors, so when we cranked it the car started a little and it jumped to like 1000 rpm, yah the tach is working.

Did you ground the ECU grounding ring on the wiring under the intake manifold? If that ring is floating around, not grounded, the injectors won't fire.

If i was you , i would not tamper with the harness putting resistors onto the injectors, just get yourself the high imp injectors. There are allot of them forsale. You can even use the N/A if you need to.

You need to check first for voltage at each injector. With the injector unplugged one wire (harness side) should have battery voltage. If it does'nt have it with key on engine off, should at least have it when cranking. If it does'nt, it's a power supply problem. If it has voltage then the injector is not being fired by the ecm for whatever reason(bad ground, wiring, ecm, ect). Hope that at least helps you narrow it down.

Anyone with a little bit of electrical competence can do this.
It's just a matter of cutting the wire, put resister inline, soldering or crimping the ends, taping / heatshrinking / protecting the bare wire ends.
This is not rocket science.
You can even use a DMM to confirm the circuit is complete.
Dozens of members have done this, and unless you're a complete idiot, it's not that bad of a job.
