Injectors

First off my fc has always had a slight hesitation issue but now it’s gotten worse. Now it hesitates at 5,000-6,000 rpms. This happens after a few minutes of driving.

I can still redline it at partial throttle. I check my grounds and they are good; however, my secondary injector clips are toast you can pull the connectors off by hand. Also one of the connectors inside the clip is missing.

So I’m thinking about getting my injectors serviced and replacing all 4 clips with new ones.

Do you guys think this will solve my issue? Thanks

Possibly. Have you rewired your fuel pump, changed your fuel filter and fuel sock?

These are things you may want to consider.

What company are you having service your injectors? Witch Hunter is a great company.

Sorry for the late reply. I kind of gave up on this thread after it went to the bottom. I have a new fuel filter, but I did get my fuel pump from a parts car.... haha I booked marked them the other day so yeah after searching the forums, I am sending my injectors off to them.

Bump. So I've notice this issue come and goes. I spent the last few hours searching the forums And i think it is my 5th and 6th ports and my secondaries need cleaning. I tested them and they are not working plus i have an exhaust leak too. Also my voltmeter reads 12 volts. I'll test that in the next few days.

A turbo has 4 ports while the non-turbo has 6 ports.

I tested my 5th and 6th ports. I put grease on the actuator rods and took it for a spin. Honestly the car drives fine at normal driving speeds, but it is a little disappointing when i want to open it up. Idk from what I've read there could be many things that can cause hesitation.

replace the broken clips, if it's an S5 the grease trick doesn't work as they push not pull.

Not yet. I plan on doing a 13b-re swap this spring with a new wiring harness.

And I have a S4.

Oh i forgot to add. When i first got the car put back together, none of my injectors were firing. A Friend of mine that helped me put the car back together soaked the injectors in carburetor and they starting clicking. After reading about DIY injector cleaning, this can cause damage to your injectors. I think it can be the issue with my car flooding ( i have a fuel cut switch) and possibly messing with my injectors? Btw when testing my injectors, they click but this does not mean that they are not gummed up?
Trying not to double post. I forget certain details that might help you guys.
