injector size question

I recently bought 2 injectors from a buddy. He claimed that they were 720's. I am getting ready to send them out, along with my 4 550's to get cleaned. However, upon closer inspection the numbers on the 720's are 1350 which indicates that they are 460's. I asked him about it and he says that are indeed 720's regardless of the numbers on the side. Is this possible? Is it possible that they have been changed to 720's somehow?

thanks in advance for the help.

What brand are these injectors? If they are the Greddy/Denso 720 they should be a light blue color and should be the same style as the OEM injectors (similar o-rings, grommets, etc).

That's the thing, they look like stock 460's. I think he must have mixed them up before he gave them to me. Is it even possible that they could have been reworked somehow to have an output of 720cc. I can't see it, but I am not an injector specialist. I guess if I send them in to be cleaned I will no for sure, but it sounds like a waste of time to me.

No they don't, if you were to look at the outside of them, they look like and have the same numbers(195500-1350) as the stock 460's with square red plug. They are stock 460's on the outside.

Is it possible that the "guts" of the injector have been changed somehow?

I suppose it is possible. FD 1300 CC injectors are their stock 850's bored out, but I don't think bored out stock injectors are common on our cars. You will have to get these flow tested.

Perhaps they are bored out? Have them flow tested at 40 PSI.
