The answer is, those low impedence injectors should not be put on a 88 non-turbo. They will work for a while, then burn up the injector drivers in the ECU. They can be used though, IF you install a 10ohm resistor inline with EACH injector. Radio Shack has them. The best place to install them would be near the ECU.

First of all, there is no such things as a "high impedence" ECU.

Your missing the point. There is no such thing as a ECU for a high or a low impedence injector.

All the ECU's need to see approx 12ohms coming from the circuit for the fuel injector TO the ECU.

The cars with low resistance injectors use a inline 10 ohm resistor for each injector circuit, PRIOR to the ECU.

The cars with high resistance injectors (87 1/2 and up ) do this by having the resistance built into the injectors.

Actually the resistor pack in 87 1/2 cars and older, have four 6 ohms resistors in the package, not 10 ohm each. The 12ohm figure I gave above is a general figure. I don't know the actual figure right off the top of my head.
