which injecotr is primary and which is secondary?

which injecotr is primary and which is secondary?

there is a front primary and a front secondary and a rear primary and rear secondary.

so which one is the primary and secondary? if u are looking at the engine from the passenger side primary left or right?

primary are the 2 that bolt to the motor the small fuel rail...secondarys are the ones that bolt to the lower intake...the long fuel rail

yes but it matters how they are hooked up there is a primary and secondary on the little rail as well as the large rail

no the big rail is your secondayrs....one for the front rotor one for the rear....same as your primary rail

im n/a but it matters how the 2 injectors per rail are connected which clips go to them there are 2 my understanding a left and right and they can be hooked up wrong

the one on the block is you primary fuel rail...pick up a haynes manual and it tells you right in it...page 142 18.11b picture of a N/A secondary fuel rail attached to the manifold...

if you still cant figure out the connectors get a wiring shop manual....it tells you the colors for each injector

i cant find the color coded ecu pinout in the fsm anywhere thats why im asking theses stupid questions


all i can find is a pinout but it dosent actaully tell what wire is waht

^ +1 If your wiring is routed correctly, the plugs basically end up near each injector (especially the secondary ones) - but that may not help you if that's not your case, so I'll look for the wiring diagram (86-88 NA models) ......................................

You'll see the injectors are fed 12V + (Black/yellow stripe wire) with ignition on, and the ECU grounds them.

BTW, my sig has links to the FSM, training manual, and parts fiche and more.

Looking at the engine from the passanger side you can only see the front and rear secondary's. The primary's are under the UIM.

The wire with the red stripe goes to the rear secondary and the wire with the white stripe goes to the front secondary.
