Thumbs down Apex seals or ecu?

Hey guys,

Im looking at picking up another rx7. I got my last one for 500 buck with a blown engine, but i am parting it out and using the engine for my kit car.

Anyways, since i have all these extra parts laying around from that car, i was looking at picking up an rx7 with a good engine for cheap and fixing it up with the parts from my current car. I found a car online that looks like a good canidate. however i dont know enough about the rotaries to know if the problem listed is cause by low compresion due to blown apex seals, or like the seller was trying to say, a vacuum line or ecu problem. Anyways here is the quote from the add.

"fixed oil leak

runs smooth, but rev's
up really slow,(it has no power, it drives tho just really slow) has something to do with vaccum lines or computer???,

its hard to start(it gets flooded out)

driverside window rolls up and down when it wants, "

I have checked the FAQ and didnt see anything so i though some one could help me out.
I was just wondering if it was worth my time to look into it. Thank you guys.

sounds like the product of a nonactive rotar i'd be very cautious about that one one side might be blown

yeah that sounds like is either low on compression or one of the rotors is totally gone.

That part about "running smooth" sounds contradictory to the rest of the description.

I'd stay away from it unless you can verify compression results...

Yep, test for compression. Its real easy. Pull the EGI fuse, then pull a plug on the front rotor, then crank. Replace the plug then repeat on the rear rotor. Listen for 3 solid, even pulses on each rotor. Anything otherwise means a bad motor.

If it has good compression it could be screwed up timing, a bad injector, or other fixable issues.

I'm every where.... or so it feels like, lol. Seriously though im in Klamath Falls for college, but live near Salem, and my dad works out of Vancover. So I pretty much have this state covered.

And i think i saw that 7, where they swapped the engine, and then tried to mess with it, and now it wont run correctly?
