Igntion switch/key bypass
I am looking to remove my ignition cylinder and go with a toggle switch system with push button start. I searched and found one thread where somebody wanted to do it. satch described the process:
What I got out of that was this:
Key to ACC: 12v from B goes to Blue ACC wire
Key to RUN: 12v from B goes to B/W, B/R and Blue ACC
Key to START: 12v is cut from B to ACC and IG2(B/R) and 12v applied to single B/R wire (starting circuit)
Key back to RUN: 12v restored to ACC and IG2 and removed from single B/R
So to properly do this I would need 4 toggles plus my start button.
FUEL switch (just to turn fuel pump on/off)
ACC switch to toggle Blue ACC wire
IGN1 switch to toggle B/W(IGN1)
IGN2 switch to toggle B/R(IGN2)
And so to start the car, I would need to turn on IGN1 and quickly flip on ACC and IGN2? Or if I wired the start button to a relay and just used the starting circuit wire as a signal, would there be enough power in the system to just have all switches on while starting? I ran all new wiring from the battery to starter and replaced all my grounds, so I'm in good shape there.

The switch works as follows. Turn the key to ACC and voltage from the Black wire of the Front harness passes onto the Blue ACC wire. Turn the key to on and the voltage from the Black wire passes onto the B/W wire and the B/R wire in the plug w/the Blue wire and the B/W wire and the B/R wire powers the ignition fuses ( both IG1 and IG2 fuses). Turn the key to start and the voltage from the B wire passes onto the single B/R wire which powers the start circuit. So you'll need a series of toggles. You really can't join a group of these wires together because there isn't enough voltage when starting to power everything. In a normal situation, power is cut to the ACC and IG2 fuses/accessories such that only the IG1 fuses and the starter circuit is supplied power to start the car. So you'll likely need at least three toggles if not four, but it depends on how you want your system to work. Do you want the ACC fuses powered seperately from the fuses powered w/key to on or powered at the same time.

Last thing...
The push start kit I have has horrible directions....
I get what it's trying to tell me, but part of it isn't making sense.
There is a push button, which has it's own pigtail that plugs into the relay box. Then, coming out of the relay are 4 wires: Red, Black, and 2 blues.
From what I gather from the instructions, Black to ground (obviously), red to main power coming into the ignition (which I found to be a white\red wire btw). I think its then supposed to be one of the blues to the W\R and the other blue to the starter wire (B\R)
Sound right?

Because the car has made it's switch from DD to just for fun, and it's something I wanted to do. No benefits, other than I like the way it looks and the functions of it. I wanted to do a push button with an RF system, but that's a little out of my budget atm.
