IC Size 18 or 24" core

Hello

I have the Greddy TD06 Turbo with IC (but the IC isn't in good shape and piping can be better)

I am thinking of going 2.25" piping
but I would like to know what would be a better core size?
I am trying to build a quicker spooling 350hp nothing big in power, just want it to be more efficient.
also hopefully i can design the piping so I can swap turbos (for smog related purposes) easily.

i am currently looking at a core size 18"x12"x3" (full length 25"x12"3 with 2.5" outlet)

Would it be better to use the 18"x12"x3" or a 24"x12"x3" (full length 31"x12"x3" 3" outlet) core?

3rd option is a 21"x9"x3" (full length 29"x9"x3" with 2.5" outlet)

get an 18"x12"x4" v-mount off ebay. they cost 160$
supports up to 700hp
and if you set it up like this, you'll have a lot less tubing, get to keep your bumper reinforcement, and have less lag:

V-mount takes quite some work
and how's the strength after cutting that center frame (radiator support only?)

one more question is, i've been trying to find that Throttle body elbow for a while (i found the greddy one, but i remember i've seen somewhere else they sold one for cheaper, anyone know where to get it (greddy one if i remember right is more expensive)

this is what i want to use as a reference
http://cabrio7.org/mods/ic/

just want to see what size the general size people have the IC

the guy who did this actually did a little bit of boxing on the frame for the radiator support, and claims that its stronger than stock after he did so.. because stock its pretty pathetic.

and yes, its a tad of work. but very rewarding setup
both in cooling power, tubing length and in my opinion, aesthetics.

Does anyone have a guide on how to install a front mount or V-mount on our cars? Just wondering.

try higgi on the forum for the tb adapter http://rx7cz.net/shop/

i think most people go way overkill wiht the intercooler size. Im running a smallish 20"x9"x2.5" bar/plate core, at up to 14 psi on a hybrid turbo, not laggy at all. Intake temps drop not too far from ambient in boost

thank you for the info

with that in mind
is there any benefit for going with a 18"x12"x3" core or the longer but lower 21"x9"x3" core? any benefit from the 9"?
