i smell gas

i smell gas when i floor it, is this bad or normal?

replace the pulsation damper immediatly before your car catches on fire

search pulsation damper you will get a billion threads

Check the 2nd Gen Archive for Marren PD Retrofit. For alittle bit more cost than a stock PD you can get an aftermarket one on your setup that will be alot more reliable. Also, if it fails this PD can be rebuild and doesn't spew fuel everywhere. I did this to my car for $200.00.

if it was the PD wouldnt i smell gas all the time?

Yes if it was the PD you would smell gass all the time. But check it anyways just to make sure.

Open the hood and make sure there aren't any fuel leaks. The car may just be running excessivly rich under WOT.
