check the main "80A" fuse located under the hood by the driver's side strut tower.

Check fuses. Mainly - The main fuse.

Because of the way the circuitry is routed though, some (if not all - I'll need some backup on this one) of the fuses may be alright but you could have still fried alot of components.

Sparks as in - You touched wrong terminals for a second as in spark AT the terminals? Or you hooked them up solid and sparks started flying off the chassis?

I'm guessing he means sparks on the battery. I did the exact same thing when I was jumping my car after working on it one time. It's almost definitely just the main fuse. That is pretty much the exact point of the main fuse, right? It's the black one that's bolted into the fuse bay on the drivers side of the engine bay.

Sparks just at the terminals would probably just blow a fuse... A solid connection the opposite way would be unpredictable (from my experience) .. I've never seen it happen..

Ive heard of cases where doing the exact same thing fried the ECU, but hopefully it just blew the main 80A fuse before that happened....

Don't forget the 80a doesn't pull out, you have to unbolt it from the fusebox itself.

Some people fail to realize this, and just keep reefing on it until the fusebox breaks.
