FL I need help installing and rebuilding my LSD

Ok im picking up a 88 NA FC LSD to install in my S5 91 NA FC, and i have some questions since i did a search and couldnt get any answers.

1.) Is it true that its a direct bolt on and that i can use my NA drive shaft and half shafts?

2.) Do i need to buy any aditional parts? I have the LSD assembly with the pumpkin.

3.) Im planning to do a turbo swap in the future, can i install the driveshaft and half shafts of the Turbo in the N/A LSD or do i need to buy the Turbo LSD?

4.) What parts do i need for an LSD rebuild?

5.) Finally could someone point me to a write up for the installation, rebuild and the FSM manual? I cant find it anywhere =(

Thanks for the help and patience but finding answers with the search is like a needle in a haystack =(

1. yes

2. no

3. you'll need the turbo driveshaft, diff, and halfshafts, or a conversion driveshaft for the t2 tranny to work with the na diff

4. bearings with races (6), cone springs (2), and clutch discs (4)

5. Removal and installation of the diff is fairly straightforward, but can be time consuming. Link to FSM--> http://www.teamfc3s.org/main/factory_service_manual/

Thanks very much, so my only problem would be coming up with 400$ for a drive shaft. Also where can i get the LSD parts from? Can they be ordered from an autozone? How much would it cost for the parts? and what tools do i need?

cone springs and clutch discs can be had from mazdatrix http://www.mazdatrix.com
bearings you'll be able to get from your local auto parts dealer. Once you have the diff apart, take the bearings and races to autozone or wherever you guys get parts, and they'll be able to match them up

Read the FSM!
It tells you exactly what you need to measure and each parts wear tolerances. Disassemble the LSD unit and mic the parts before you come on here and complain. You won't need $360 worth of parts to rebuild the LSD unit.

Whos complaining? im taking the LSD apart tommorow, what im doing is not rebuild it completely just changing the parts that dont meet the clearances instead of buying all that **** from Maxdatrix, i still think their prices are insane, it makes sense since theres not many after market manufacturers for the FC.

No, The N/A is a smaller size then the Turbo by 1 inch. I think 7 N/A 8 Turbo but I may be wrong.

So far I am putting out about 250 to the wheels in my turbo swap w/ na diff. So far so good. Then again, I am not an aggressive driver.
