I need help, car wont start
#330
Guess what everybody? I got the car running. Looks like the exhaust got clogged. After the car would not start I decided to unbolt the cat and once I did the car started right up and stayed on as it should. So now I guess I'm just going to have to gut the cat since I dont have the money to get a new one at the moment.

yes I did, I let it warm up for a good 15 minutes. Garage got filled with smoke, lol. Oh and I didnt have to break apart the cat, the car did it for me, apparently the cat got clogged then it broke and all the ceramic mesh clogged up the exhaust so it took me an hour to get it all out. I just finished putting the exhaust back together now and I let it run for another 15 minutes. Now I just have to put the floor back together.
But you know what I got to learn a bunch from you guys about the car, so this was a good lesson for me. On top of that there were a lot of incidental occurrences as well such as the MAF door being stuck, the spark plugs needing to be changed, the alternator and battery being tested. I got t learn how to use the multimeter and compression tester. So it's all good, the frustration wasnt for nothing.
Now I can make the new job on tuesday and be able to pay my rent.

Now that it's no longer a rush, you can study up on the weekends.

you know i havent tested it with the original ecu as the car is running better with this ecu. Also I've now discovered I might have leaky injectors as the car is now always flooding when the car is parked for a few hours ( like when I'm at home or at work) and I have to go through the deflooding process every time. I'm going to install a fuel cut off switch within the next couple days to help with the problem.
