Does anyone know if the HKS Silent Power Exhaust comes as a full cat-back, or is it just a rear section?

Please let me know ASAP!!!!

Thanks,

Maybe if you posted a real question as your title to this thread you would have had an answer real quick.

if they sold just the muffler wouldn"t that be a extreme rip off? also if that was the case then they would need to sell the other piece separetly, I don't see that piece sold separetly anywhere.

Mark, it got your attention, that was what I was trying to do.

And, I don't really care how MaD tYtE JdM it is. It's quiet, provides good flow and is stainless. It was just that the picture I was looking at from the placing I buying it from only showed the rear section, and I just wanted to make sure. The reason I asked is because I've seen that Blitz sells a rear section for the FD that's about the same price as what I'm buying. I just wanted to check first.

Why don't you ask HKS directly?

You posted a non-descriptive title, which I won't normally click.
I noticed Icemark replied in this thread, so I peeked to see what was up...
Should've known...

We're not there to spoon feed your ***.
What's so hard about asking HKS directly?
They have a website - HKS USA.
They have an email contact for questions like yours.
Instead of waste our time and yours, why not ask them direct?
I would think you'd get a straight answer versus having to deal with us not giving the answer you're looking for...

Most HKS products are overpriced.
I would never buy a pre-made exhaust system, cause they are usually overpriced and / or too restrictive for my needs.

Wink

Of course you wouldn't, but do you think that maybe time doesn't permit sending an email to a large company so that I can wait for a day and a half for answer to a question that I can get answered ten times faster on here.

As for buying a pre-made exhaust, I'd rather not, but I need one and can get one at a decent price. UNLIKE YOU, I don't have a shop with exhaust tubing and a welder at my disposal at any given time. I have every intention of making my own exhaust, once I buy a good welder, but again, my funding does not permit that right now. AND, it's not your car it's going on. So Ted, for once maybe just:

a. Don't open the thread, it's one simple click less to do.

OR

b. Answer the question as it is presented and don't always strut around like you own the place.

It's a forum, if I can get a question answered, I will. Gotta love the interweb, right?

Just because my post count isn't 12039823049239584, doesn't mean I'm a newbie, just that I reserve my comments to stuff that I actually give a crap about, instead of stepping in where ever possible just to say something.

Have a nice day.

J

How about...
I don't have to listen to you or your suggestions...
As long as I don't break any of the forum rules or step on any of the mods toe's, I can do whatever I want.
Since you're not a mod, I can do whatever I want as long as I don't break the abovementioned rules.

OR

b. Answer the question as it is presented and don't always strut around like you own the place.
See above.
I don't strut around like I own the place.
I don't even own "this place".
You seem to have this idea that is so.

You talk like some spoiled brat that had everything handed to him.
Well, welcome to the real world.
I don't care for whiny bitches.
You should take the initiative and some of the work yourself.
DID YOU EVEN TRY TO CONTACT HKS USA?

Here...I feel so sorry for you, I'll even give you the URL...
http://www.hksusa.com/info/?id=251

They do have a phone number listed.
Are you so pathetic that you can't call a phone number?
Oh, and I don't want to hear any sorry *** excuse about calling long distance.
EVERYONE has a cell phone.
Most cell phone plans have FREE long distance.
Steal your friend's cell phone to make this call.

You ready?

You win Ted. I don't really care anymore, I got the answer I needed. All I was saying is that somethings don't permit others. You have your opinions, I have mine. To you I say welcome to life as well. I love how you can tell I'm a whiny bitch, and a spoiled brat. Why do you think I can't buy a welder? Maybe I don't have that kind of money? A GOOD, I won't buy a decent or crap welder, costs upwards of $700-1000, THAT I'VE SEEN, I may be wrong; then I'd have to buy all of my exhaust piping, then make or buy flanges, and buy mufflers, then spend more time welding it together. That's more than what I can afford, and after being cited by a cop recently for running a downpipe only, I need an exhaust. For me to have ordered it the other night when I posted this thread, I needed an answer quickly so that I could have the order processed in time so the exhaust would be headed out of the distributer today when the business day started. Thus, the reasoning for a "non-descriptive title that you wouldn't normally read." So money was my limiting factor.

Did I check all over the HKS website for verification that it was a full cat-back and not a rear section? Yes.

Now, read through what is here, there's a lot of "I's" not "my mommy and daddy". Spoiled? Nope. Had a job since I was 14, and now I manage my own pool.

And as for your "I don't have to listen to you" childish remark, haha, you're right, you're entirely correct.

By the way, I can't talk like a spoiled brat, when it's text, I could only TYPE like one.

Think what you want Ted, "you don't have to listen to me". Hell, you could be the bigger person and not respond. I welcome that gesture.

Seriously, I don't care anymore Ted.

I guess the idea of just going to a muffler or exhaust shop wasn't an option?
Who said you needed to buy a welder?
The exhaust shop can custom make you an exhaust for your needs...
...if money wasn't an object.

That is one of the most stupidest things I've ever heard.
You have no clue what you bought, and then you decide to figure out what you bought by coming in here and asking us...
Uh, ok...

Did I check all over the HKS website for verification that it was a full cat-back and not a rear section? Yes.
You fail at search.
http://www.hks-power.co.jp/products/...1019az001.html
It's obvious from the page that it's a cat back.

Now, read through what is here, there's a lot of "I's" not "my mommy and daddy". Spoiled? Nope. Had a job since I was 14, and now I manage my own pool.
Why do you think it has to do with money?
When I say "spoiled", I meant the fact that you needed **** handed to you on a silver platter.
You asked a question...
You wanted an answer NOW...
When you didn't get it, you throw a tantrum...
Whiny bitch is right.

By the way, I can't talk like a spoiled brat, when it's text, I could only TYPE like one.
Oh, you can argue semantics all you like...
Just by your TYPING, I know you're a spoiled whiny bitch...

Give it up guys! when will men learn to just let go... Imo the more we spend time replying, the more the issue escalates... I shoulda learned this lesson long ago.

JDriftM, I can see where Ted is coming from, for the guys who are here frequently, vague threads that they feel almost tricked into clicking on can become annoying after a while... a specific question in the title grabs you the attention of the specialized people who would know... and can (and will) click and tell you.
I didnt realize that at first untill I read about it from someone else.

Both of you guys are good guys, no need to let this bring the worst out of you.

I speak to myself b4 anyone else.

just my .02

All I wanted to know was whether it was a full cat-back or not.
I got the answer to my question, though a sarcastic one, but it was an answer, well before Ted shot his mouth off.

Why is it that when people ask a question, after searching, that they're still criticized for asking in the first place? The point of asking a question is to replace ignorance on the subject.

I understand that people do things like titling a thread simply to get people to look at it, I knew that by titling this thread accordingly I would get the views needed by the people who would have an answer. And I wanted the answer because I looked on the HKS website, and on here, and I didn't get a straight or even indirect answer, so in order for me to know what I was getting BEFORE I ordered it, I asked.

I asked; is it a cat-back or rear section? All that anyone has to say was one or the other.

Hell, even when I've told new guys that they should search for the answer the next time, I give them an answer and don't get shitty with them, they're new they don't know. But, I'm not new, I've been here since 2003, 2 years after Ted, neither of us are new, but we both know that if we need input or AN ANSWER TO A QUESTION THAT WE DON'T KNOW, we can ask on here, because there is more of a chance that someone will know, considering we all drive the same type of car.

I'm done with Ted, he's the way he is and we all know what I mean. I'm not going to argue with him anymore.

Silver platter? Yeah, sure, I do my own damn work, that includes money and my car. Only time I get anything on a silver platter is when I take my fiance out for dinner. And when I don't know, and can't find the answer myself, I'll ask. It's only a question.

There's not one person who would say that this forum is not a good way to have your question answered by someone who does know the answer. If I'm wrong, prove it to me.

Like I said before, I'm done arguing with you Ted.

To anyone who searches for an answer and can't find it, ASK, it'll get answered, every time, no matter what.

And that's my $.02.

HKS is overpriced crap!!! I say crap because they're top of the line...but they're prices seem to suggest they are. My Turbo manifold bolted up, but the exhaust ports were off. I called them and they said "sorry..it happens" I don't know if the FD's have the same Issue, but several FC turbo manifolds from them seem to. Essentially it as a manifold from the 12a made to bolt to a 13b. I've since ported it to match...but what a bunch of garbage...for the price.

It's funny, cause I was the only one that was able to answer your questions AND back them up with URL links...

But, I'm not new, I've been here since 2003, 2 years after Ted, neither of us are new,
Actually, I've been on here like from 1999 or so...
The whole forum got hacked (several times), and the last "reset" was back in 2003.
Not like I really give a **** how long I've been here or what my post count is...
If you're into that kinda thing, then it's your hang-up.
