I doing a bac delete

I am doing a bac delete on my 1989 GTU. I was wondering if I can block off the coolant passage hose that goes through or the bac?

So get rid of the thermowax as well... Then, block-off away!

Doesn't the BAC control idle speed? So if hes got any accessories on the motor (A la A./C or whatever) wouldn't it cause the engine to run like *** when theyre on? I know my emissions kit came with a BAC block off and I was confused because that seemed like a fairly integral piece for any car that isn't just an engine and trans...

Kind of. It's more like a fail safe for when idle drops too low like when placing an unexpected load on the engine. The set screw really controls the idle speed.

When the engine is cold, and when driving in cold climates, the possibility is much higher. I've been driving fcs for 20 years without BACVs and never had a problem, but I've also lived in South Texas, Florida, and Hawaii during those times.
