Heat it with a torch. You must melt the loctite behind it. Penetrating lube is useless here. Any impact gun with a reverse torque rating of <450 is also useless...there are times that my 600ftlb gun won't remove them.

If the engine is out, and you can move the core in another vehicle, take it to your local diesel mechanic. They have some giant impact wrenches that should make short work of it. I use the same method for my flywheel nut.

i usually have to heat it up with a torch to remove it, the front bolt usually gives me more trouble than the big nut at the flywheel end...

if the engine is out just go to a tire shop that does semi tires and see if they can use there 1" impact on it.

Heres my thread on it: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/how-get-main-pulley-nut-off-already-tried-normal-method-501004/
In it, someone said a 1000lb breaker bar wouldnt get it off. Just get a cheapo propane torch and stick it on for a few minutes, then it should come off without too much of a problem.

You got lucky, then. I killed a decent quality socket wrench and used enough torque to sheer off an impact-grade socket adapter and it didn't budge.
