How To Weld Your Diff
How To Weld Your Diff
Hey Guys i got a turbo ll lsd in my n/a but it just dont lock up as good as it use too i have to give it a clutch kick once and a while in a drift. i changed my lsd oil so that ant it but i really wanna weld my diff dose anyone on this borad know how to weld a diff on the fc
do u plan on using it daily? u do know the disadvantages of a welded diff right? at parking lot type maneuvering ur gonna be squeeling tires like hell.. and ur handling will actually diminish...
if ur serious about drifting either rebuild ur LSD, or ur better off saving up and getting a Kaaz or Quaife

don't expect people to help ya out after that...
rx-7 are already less reliable than other cars, ghetto in the drivetrain = bullshit...
you'll probably end up paying the same amount because you'll break the diff...
no cues i can get diff for $25 non lsd so its not a big deal for me and liek i said this car is a drift car whitch only come around like 1 every 2-3 months so i really dont mind and i havetn even spent 500 on this car its a solder and it runs great so i really dont care to brake diff's ill end up saving money cues a 2 way is what $700+ when i can get a $25 used non lsd one weld it up and go back at it.
Take the non lsd diff and look how the little spider gears rotate around. Weld them to the gears they touch and your done. Racers do this all the time, some cars respond well to it, others don't. For drifting you should be fine.
for all u saying how welded diffs feel and what they cause i would like to inform u that i have drivin a welded diff! and a lot of statements are untrue!!!
yes there is a little tire noise around corners, but it does not make driving daily any harder.
i also didnt brake anything because of it! i drove it everyday and drifted it at least everyother night! nothing broke!!!
just make sure u weld it good otherwise it will come apart and then yes, u will probably damage something!
