For premix? I wouldn't- the main ingredients in MMO are naptha aromatic hydrocarbons & mineral spirits. In other words, it's gonna burn a heck of a lot more than it will lubricate...

yeah i'd rather use some certified tcw3 premix since it was made simply to lubricate combustion chambers. MMO is just kinda like an all purpose llubricant which can probably lube up the combustion chambers pretty well, but i'd rather trust tc3w since it was designed specifically for that.

Hmmm... all of the premix threads I've seen before were about 4 oz bottle for the tank itself. Sounds like I should be using about 4 times that for my S4 tank. Can someone confirm or deny this.
I have my OMP still connected and I'm just running the premix as insurance.

If you still have the OMP, I think the general consensus ratio was 400:1. Problem is, if the OMP goes out (or the lines clog or crack, etc...) without your knowledge (assuming S4), 400:1 ain't gonna cut it...

Thanks for the quick response.
So what would be a better "insurance" amount, and what issues would I have while the OMP was still functional?
I didn't have any plans to remove my OMP, but I am concerned about issues if it stops functioning.

That's just it- it's a "catch-22" situation. If you don't think the OMP is injecting enough, you start adding premix. But, you're adding an amount (ratio) that can't survive on it's own. The ultimate solution is always "ditch the OMP system" entirely.
