I'd like to know myself. Try the "other engines" section. They'll know more. And different long blocks will have different weights. So you probably need to be more specific. A better question for this section might be, "How much does a 13B weigh?" Then you can compare.

Make sure you ask whether or not each engine is fully dressed or bare, w/ oil or w/o oil, etc., etc.

A complete longblock minus a/c, p/s, and clutch, will usually weigh 350-400 palleted depending on year and model.

minus about 20-25lbs for pallet and straps.

D'oh. I mixed up "long block" with "big block" (V8). Boy, that feels dumb.

Yamaguchi 2nd gen book states that the engine weight with all accessories, manifolds and fluids without the radiator and oil cooler are 340 lbs for the NA and 370lbs for the turbo.

Here is the list of published engine weights I have. No idea on Trans. weight.

published engine weights from 279 page book "RX-7, the New Mazda RX-7 and Mazda Rotary Engine Sports Cars" By Jack Yamaguchi 1985

1965 production Cosmo L10A (alum. sidehousings)--- 225 lbs (pg 261)

1968 production Cosmo 10A (alum. sidehousings)--- 224 lbs (pg 262)

1968 production R100 10A (cast iron side housings)--- 268 lbs (pg 262)

1971 production JDM RX-3 10A--- 282 lbs (pg 264)

1967 production R130 13A--- 301 lbs (pg 264)

1977 production USA 12A --- 321 lbs (pg 244)

1977 12A sports kit (over the counter P-Port)--- 242 lbs (pg 244)

1977 12A MFR (factory P-port)--- 224 lbs (pg 244)

1977 production 13B--- 330 lbs (pg 244)

1977 13B MFR (factory p-port)--- 233 lbs (pg 244)

1978 production RX-7 12A--- 348 lbs (pg 267)

1983 production RX7 12AT (turbo)--- 356 lbs (pg 270)

1986 production RX-7 13B DEI--- 337 lbs (pg 47)

Wow, those are a bit higher than I would have thought, but if alternator, PS pump, manifolds, (airpump?, a/c?) and the like are included perhaps not so much. I weighed the engine and tranny out of my wife's Saturn SL2 5spd when I had to replace the broken tranny - with manifolds and oil, but no alt, a/c, or PS, 200lb for the engine and 74lb for the tranny. Seemed pretty light compared to most engines I've worked on.
I'm curious about a dressed weight (or any weight) for common piston engine swaps, like SBC, SBF, LS1, Nissan VG, or (shudder), GM 3800 - I've searched and no one seems able or willing to give a straight answer. People always seem to assume if the question is asked its an attack for going non-rotary.

Yeah, finding weight is annoying. I asked one person who did an LS1 swap and he claimed the FD gained only 60lbs. That includes the weight saved by dumping the turbo, etc., of course.

I had a full TII minus transmission on a palet to RR and it was like 350 IIRC.
