how much boost

I have seen it being posted that when you open up your exaust on a T2 w/a FCD, that that more boost comes unasisted, I have these mods and it's not unasisted unless using a boost controler is considered unasisted

no it's boost creep...

unless your wastegate has been ported alot. you should see 10 or so. unless your turbo is too worn out.

I just noticed you had an 91 turbo. so tha'll help. should still be hitting 10 or so though. they probably ported it when it was rebuild.

where was that?

Boost creep is not so bad on S5 motors because the turbo has two wastegate flaps that allow more gases to escape when need be.

What size exhaust do you have?

I went to a 2.5inch exhaust with 3 mufflers and no cat, and the boost only raised very slightly. Mine is S5 too, and reasonably quiet.

Do you have a stock intercooler setup or aftermarket? As this can make a difference too.

As Scott 89t2 said, don't worry about it. If your boost controller is giving you your desired levels then just enjoy it.

Warning: Don't forget that more boost requires more fuel or detonation can become a problem. Before you start winding things up too much you should consider some form of aftermarket fuel control.

I have a 89 s5 with a APEXi ACV-R set to 12 psi (wastegate not ported) and I don't get and boost creep. I get small spike when shifting. Sounds like you have a nice setup, got any pictures of your intake heatshield?

I'll be posting them soon, I just took a sheet of reflective bubble wrap and formed it around my intake and cut a hole behind the radiator so it could breath, noticed hp increase
