How to intentionally flood an RX

OK, this is the situation, I want to know a sure fire way to flood the sh*t out of an FC. This will be used when I go shopping for a vert at the dealers in the fall. Has anyone ever done this to get a good deal on a car, from a dealer? I wouldn't do this to a private seller, but I see no harm in f*cking a dealer over a little.

I was thinking that fully depressing the gas pedal for an extended period of time before starting it (with the key in the on position), and then keeping the pedal to the floor while cranking.
Anyways, any input you have is appreciated

Dealers have mechanics... and holding the throttle wide open is a way to UNFLOOD these cars in S% cars. It will not flood the.
Short of tinkering with something, you're outta luck.

That's only true in the 89-91's. One method that's kinda hard on the engine is start the car cold and cut it off about 15 seconds later. Hard on the engine, but it's a pretty much given way to flood it. Going for a discount eh?

Easy...crank it over for a split-second BEFORE the engine catches.&nbsp This will usually flood almost any FC out there...

I find your methods rather "seedy"...

You'd be better off taking a blown EGI fuse with you and swapping them out when no one is looking. They will never track it down.

Simple. I would find a boat ramp or the more aggresive. Driving off a bridge into the wild wet water

maybe pump the gas pedal instead of holding it down.......

make sure to test all the elctronic equipment too. ya never know where a deal might rear its head...... bring a pack of smokes too, even if you dont smoke. make sure the lighter works.... if it doesnt get into a big huff how ur a chain smoker and ull have to "pay" for it to get fixed if you drive the car.....

Look at the the engine, and when he is not looking, screw up the TPS. A shitty idle would be worth like a couple hundred bucks off!!

The tps is a good Idea, I was think about not holding the pedal right to the floor, just enough to flood it. The blown egi fuse is a good idea

Scathcart:
Most mechanics are completely clueless when it comes to rotary engines. If it isn't running, they think blown engine, so they want it gone. IF they think it's blown I can low ball them and get the car cheap. Even if the car isn't running right, they don't know how to fix it, so they want to sell it fast.

tricking the dealer is a good idea. when i bought mine i knew A LOT more than the dealers. They said "oh ya the rotary engine is a good engine but its a bit tricky"

i could have easily done something to it and gotten money off. i am pretty sure the car had been sitting for a couple weeks so they would think that happened while it was sitting.

Ya I would try just holding the gas down not all the way or pumping it for a while, while you are "talking" to the salesman

"We can use our powers against the evil salesmen"

I find such methods unethical for the most part, but if the seller is being a ***** or you are broke and have the opportunity to buy a mint car...then go for it. However, karma has a way of getting back to you eventually.

i have done this a couple of times by accident. like RETed said, just before the engine catches let the clutch out like an inch or so, so the engine does not start. I have done this after school a couple of times. I didn't not like waiting there for 10 minutes until it was okay.
