Year? Options installed? Model should be a decal on the side, unless you're talking about which series you aren't sure about (s4/s5).

This might help to, sticky at the top of the section. https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/specifications-what-did-2nd-generation-rx-7-come-w-options-standard-features-249616/

if the side moulding is black its s4 if its the same color as the rest of the body its s5. Also s4 86-88 had rectangular tail lights and s5 89-91 had round tails.

s-4 OR s-5 makes no difference they all got the fuel cut at 180 km's if its a JDM model. look at the OMP and check to see if its a mechanical, or if its got a little steeping motor hanging off of the side, if its got the olittle stepping motor than its a S-5 (electronically controlled OMP) thats only one of a dozen different minor differences (port timing, computer, rotors, stationary gears) the S-5 is of course more desireable but either can be made to go really fast.

Kenn

ps: look at your taillights round is S-5, rectangular are s-4 (provided they haven't been changed), also check your seat belts they generally have a date of manufacture that is within 1~3 months of the vehicle.

S4. Next question is, do you have a turbo under that hood? You have the TurboII hood, but is it a turbo or did they just add the TurboII hood to the car?

You have s4 bumpers, front turn signals, and side moldings, but the moldings have been painted white to match the car (much like the 10AE). I don't think it's a 10AE though because you don't have the badges. Also you have s5 tail lights.

NIce and clean S4.

Yeah, lights are the easiest way to tell, but a lot of people do the Tail Light swap. I think the S5 lights look better
