Hey Derrik. Sorry I didnt help Kyle get the right one. I didnt see anything like that in the car we looked at. Perhaps it was in a spot hard to see. I cant believe they stack the cars like that.

Insane Burnout
The knock sensor detects pre-ignition(knock) and retards the timing. The manual test the knock sensor by hitting the rotor housing with a hammer and looking to see if the timing lite shows retard.
Just a note: the 87/88 have the knock controller in the passengers foot well. Far right and way fwd.
The later models have the control incorporated into the ECU.
