hood weights

Just curious....
Does anyone know what a N/A steel vs aluminum hood weighs?
How about turboII hood steel vs aluminum hood weights?
People always talk about the advantage of the aluminum hood but I never see any numbers!

Thanks guys- I thought there would be more difference than that..It looks to me like the easiest way to take weight off your car is to lay off the chips and beer!

I have both the NA steel and alum. hoods in my garage and have wondered this myself. I don't have a scale but just guessing, the steel is about 35 pounds and the alum. is 10-15 pounds. So there is 20+ pounds to save by swapping. I got my alu hood for fifty bucks so it was worth it to me.

Anyone want a nice (red) steel hood?
