You obviously haven't searched the forums because many people have attempted turning an N/A into a Turbo motor. Aaron Cake I believe has a detailed write-up on such (and/or one of the other gurus). There is a difference between the 88 and 89, 90 RX-7s due to S4 and S5 models.
Seeing as you don't know too much, start off with the FAQ and just click on various links. Read and learn is all I can say! It took me quite a lot of money to do it without the FAQ...

Greddy won't fit unless the car/engine is ALREADY a turbo car.

This topic is brought up several times a week and is very well covered.

Step 1:FAQ. Read that as what you are asking is in it.

Step 2:Aaron Cake's writeup. It is very good and explains the process of turbo'ing the N/A

To answer your question I do not believe Greddy makes a N/A Turbo kit. And if you define normal as bolt on and start then no. You will need a new pressure sensor, new ECU, and several other items.

Most people are better off swapping in the Turbo engine. This topic is also very well covered.

To answer your original questions:
1. Will it be easy? - Probably not. Turbo'ing the N/A is not easy. Neither is dropping in a new engine. But if you are experienced and have done work like this before then you should be able to figure out how to do it.

2. Is it cheap (<3k)? - Depends. You should be able to get your RX-7 turbo'd for 3k if you know what your doing so you don't waste money. If you plan on going with a bigger turbo 3k probably will not do it though as you would be looking at upgrading more parts then you would have to if you were sticking with a stock size turbo.

This is well covered in the FAQ.

There are no turbo kits for the non-turbo RX-7 currently on the market. There were some in the past but they stopped production. Will there be one in the future? Who is to say. But my guess, being the turbo NA "guy", is that something might show up next spring...
