High/low imp q.

Ya this is about the 3 time i posted ont he subject and will be that last.

i have 2 people telling me it dose't mater
and 3 people telling me it dose.

i need to know if when getting a s4 wiring harness if it matters what flow injectors you have. i.e. i have a 88 motor and buy a 86 harness or a 86 motor and a 88 harness

i have no clue what year my motor is and need a new harness.

please someoen put this question to reast with hard facts

1986 and 1988 have two different injectors. In July of 1987, Mazda stopped using low-impedence injectors (with resistors to act as high-imp), and went to high-imp injectors (with no resistors).


I would reccomend getting a 1988+ harness...there is less cluster (of the resistors packed under the airbox), and it is much easier to run resistors inline with the injectors.

If you get a 1986 harness, you will have to use low-impedence injectors, or bypass the resistors. If you use a 1988 harness, you will have to use high-imp injectors, or low-imp with resistors.
