hIGGI Alternator Pulley and Questions (pics inside)

I recently got in my new Dual Belt Alternator Pulley from hIGGI (MUCH LOVE!) and after slapping some vice grips on the existing pulley and bracing it, getting off the nut and getting a local shop mechanic to quickly use an air torque gun to get the thing seated properly I was finally ready to reassemble my car after 3 long weeks.

Note: Getting the pulley on was a little tricky because it's hard to torque a ratchet fast/hard enough to have the nut lock down without the axle underneath spinning, hence the mechanic's help (free ). This is in no way hIGGI's fault, his pulleys are quite well made.

Now that I'm putting my alternator back on I have a few newbie questions:
1. I'm guessing I misplaced a spacer on the alternator because it simply doesn't fit snugly onto it's old brace. What's going on? here

2. I'm a newbie when it comes to belts and pulleys especially but from what I've seen I'm guessing that I would unscrew this pulley to slide it down to losen the belt, in order to remove and replace it, and then slide it back up and screw it in to tighten it all. Well I tried that and it won't move, any other little hints or tips or am I entirely wrong.
Here's the picture

3. On the solenoid rack two of my solenoids broke (hoses were melted onto the nipples and they snapped off) I switched out the orange solenoid wire harness into the one I had that wasn't broken and wasn't being used (WAS the blue solenoid) as you can see here in this picture I was wondering what #1 in that picture is, and if my cheapskate solution to my solenoid problem will work. I DID route the vacuum hose from where it it connects into the metal spider usually. Do I need to cap all the spider lines? And is #1 in this picture important at all? The unused solenoids are now disconnected as well.

4. While removing my fast idle cam on my TB I ran into some problems. I was able to get the screw off just fine with an impact, but I am lost as to how to get the damn cam out after that. If I should know how, well sue me because I don't.

Thankyou so much for your help so have NZ and thanks for the beautiful pulley hIGGI.
Dave
edit:
PS: What size belts are the two alternator belts I'm going to need and the one water pump belt. I plan on taking the ones I have now to be sure, but I'd like to triple check.

Dude...

First off, you dropped your spacer off the alternator. Second, it looks like the tensioning bolt for your Power Steering is missing too!

My power steering is also missing (was an option the original buyer did not choose).
I figured I dropped the spacer I guess it's time to find it.

There's a clip that needs to be removed.
I use a flathead screwdriver and carefully pry it out.
Watch your eyes, as the clip can go flying pretty fast!

You need to turn the throttle plates to get the linkage out of the way.
You should be able to pull the stop bar and fast idle cam with a little wiggling.

Thanks Ted. I've figured pretty much everything else out except how to loosen that waterpump belt. Simple things like belts can be confusing.

there should be a bolt to rise and lower the pully where that hole is the arrow is pointing at..... no idea where it is. without that bolt the pully should drop when you lossen the nut in the middle. however without that bolt you will have a fun time trying to tighten the belt back up.

The bolt is on the garage floor. It looked to me like the pulley was supposed to rise and fall on the bolt as I spun it but the bolt just came out. That pulley is frozen so hardcore I can't get it to move. I can't think of any way to get it down.

Yeah, the 10mm flange head loooong bolt will just back out if the pulley (center nut) isn't loosened first.

Just crank on the 17mm nut and use some penetrant - it should break free.
