If i really didnt depend on this car to be my daily driver I would say lets do it. I dont know the first thing about replacing a engine, or the space to do the work. It sounds like fun. If your good at this kind of stuff and you think you and some friends could do it right I would let you all do it. Get back with me.

Pretty much all my friends are computer AND car enthusiests, and we always have at least one car that's being worked on.. My roommate's done an engine swap or two before, just not rotary.. is it turbo or n/a?
We may be able to pull it off over a weekend.. Do you have the new engine ready? Is the old engine still drivable?

it is turbo, and yes and no, i wouldnt be able to make it there from elizabethtown which is where i live, but i can have it towed there. do you really think that you all could do it?
I've done a a couple rotary swaps. It's straight forward enough. Do you have a garage with much room? It'd be easier just doing it there. Rent a cherry picker and get out the socket set. If you want help I'd be glad to look you up some weekend. There is a guy name Nick down your way. Goes by the name "89TurboII". He's a gear head and would probably help you out too. Drop him a PM and tell him Chris -the guy that sold him his TII- sent you.

Hey bro...
How are things PSI guy......
Dude doing the swap isn't very hard at all...I've done three and a nissan silvia swap. Um the only thing(for me) is that I have to work outside so times that I can work on my car are kinda limited. if I had a garage to work in and some extra mucsle a swap would only take a day.. (granted if everything goes right.) just AIM me at rx7guy1982 or email me at rx7guy1982@yahoo.com
LAter Bro,
Nick

Last one I did, I did it for $250 but I remember telling myself it would be more next time. Im not in Louisville, but Owensboro, about 90 miles west of ya. I got a 3 1/2 car garage, I can help ya. Took me about 5 hours. But that was a 1st gen not a 2nd. Never done a 2nd. But I got the space and the tools. I'll watch and help if you want to do it. You buy the kersone for the heater
So basically in non fragmented form LOL, if you guys wanna get together and do it. You can use my shop. Its huge. I got the cherry picker, air compressor, air tools, and stuff. Just let me know.
