Question HELP! What do these connect to?

I have been having a great time trying to get my engine to run (see other thread). While I was at the ECU I found 3 connectors that went to nothing. I have my blower motor removed and these are in the same area close to the speaker, blower motor and it's connectors.

1 connector has 13 actual pins and is a 2" wide connector its tied to a small harness that has another 6 pin? connector and 1 more but I cant recall the pin count. I didnt have a camera sorry.

Does anyone have any ideas? I wondering if something important is missing causing my engine issues.

PLEASE HELP!

Is it directly above the ECU against the firewall? If it is, I think that connects to the dash harness....

Cruise control Unit is on the left side of the car near the fuse box.

This thirteen pin sounds like a connector given the reference designator X-16. Tell you what, give us the colors of the wires on one end of that connector. Either end will do.

Such as BR (black/red) above a GB (green/black).

Tell you what. Is the second wire over from one end BLACK/YELLOW?

If so, it's probably X-16. The black/yellow does some small thing.. Like supply the 12vdc from the Main Relay to the fuel injectors. The other wires do small time things like that also.

Is this a stock harness? Or is this one of those JSPEC harness connected to the engine?

Does the sixteen pin connector look like the attached jpg. There's two halves to any plug and you didn't say whether it was the Front or the Emissions harness it is connected to,

Sorry, there was a crease in the paper when I scanned it. That almost hides two of the pins in the plugs.

The harness I believe is original. It looks like the connnector holds more pins, but theres only 13 pins there if you look inside it. I will see if I can stop by today after work to take a picture. If it is anything that has to do with the injectors...man, that would hopefully solve everything.

Side note....this is not by the knock sensor/atmospheric sensor... but near the back of the dash. I just want to make sure I decripe it location well enough.

Thanks for all the help. I will get the pic ASAP to better help.

Nope. It's starting to sound more like the connector for the Theft Control Unit. The plug will be there even if there is no theft protection.

The 87manual shows a 17hole connector with 14 holes occupied. On the top row it has black/yellow, light green, empty hole, empty hole, Green, light green/red, green/orange and the last a Blue/red.

IF the engine runs, then it's not X-16 that your talking about. It's the Theft Protection Unit plug.
