help!- "STOP" warning light turns on when hitting breaks

hey guys my stop warning light turns on when i hit my breaks i dunno why it does is this normal my car never used to now its started i was wondering what it could be and if its anything serious or if its normal could u please pm me or email me at rippin_rx7@hotmail.com and let me know what I am supposed to do thank you very much.

i checked the break lights they all turn on any other suggestions guys?

if it's the ebrake light...yes u need to check the brake fluid and top it off...common mistake..

i have the same problem with no burnt bulbs. and full brake fluid and good pads ect.. i dunno whawt the deal is i gave up a while ago

then the next thing too look at is:

1. the wrong bulbs are in
2. or there is too much corrosion in the bulb sockets
3. or the CPU brake circuit board is bad.

I do have rebuilt brake light circuit boards available for the 86-88 models on my website, but it is pretty rare to have one of these go bad.

Check your e-brake switch too.

If your fluid is low, check your pads for wear, the fluid level decreases when the calipers fill up with fluid as the pad material is reduced.

No, low brake fluid is the Brake indicator not the Stop indicator

and the hand brake is also the Brake indicator, not the Stop indicator.

The Stop indicator is only related to the brake light bulbs and brake light circuit not working correctly
