Like hell it is!

It was built by Rod Millen Motorsports for Mazda in the 87-88 SCCA rally series.

I have emailed them, and hopefully they will reveal the way the made this car all wheel drive.

Just use parts from an Audi quattro...... it's been done before, believe me. Of course I don't know how it was all put together though.

Just found it. I spoke with Rod Millen, the builder and driver of that car.

He is a neat fellow, a German. In our conversation he said many things
about this car. Among them:

1. This car was a hand built tube frame vehicle.
2. The body was all fiberglass.
3. His team cast their own transmissions and differentials.
4. They were not from other cars.
5. He has that car, still.
6. It is NOT FOR SALE.
7. He built two of them! - the other was the spare car.
8. He sold it 8 years ago - for $120,000.

His personal recommendation is either a 4wd mitsubishi or subaru.

Otherwise, take your existing Mazda RX7, and run it in the 2wd class.

The "spare" which did do Pikes Peak and some other events, has ended up in Auckland NZ for restoration - all complete, just a tidy and re-build.

Dude, if you spoke to him, how could you possibly think he's a German?! I know the Kiwi accent is probably a little strange to you guys, but we certainly don't sound German!
