HELP! Coolant buzzer wont shut off

the coolant buzzer will not shut off. i thought cutting the wire going to the sensor would do it but it obviously didn't. i need to do whatever it takes to shut it off. please any suggestions.

The best thing to do is to figure out why its going off in the first place. Even if you have an adequate amount of coolant, air might be getting into the system. There are a number of threads about troubleshooting it.

If you're still set on faking out the sensor, the wire needs to be grounded to shut the buzzer off. I do not recommend it, the sensor is there for a reason.

it happend to me a few months ago. the problem was it was not grounding out. check the wire to see if connected. turn the car on and step out and push down on it. if it shuts off then it was just loose. i had to solder the wire back on because it wasnt completely connected.

Cutting the wire to the sensor will make sure that the buzzer goes off. The buzzer does not go off when it is touching water. Cutting the wire pretty much rules out it ever touching water.

Check your oil level, if the oil is fine and the buzzer is still going off, check the coolant level inside the radiator.
