VA Help! Car starts, idles to btween 1000 & 200 then cuts off!

having trouble with my 88 rx7 conv. The car will start idle between 1g down to 200 then cut off. You have to stay on the clutch to drive it, and the car has no power, when you come off, it just shuts off! I replace the exhaust: Magnaflow catback, replaced the fuel pump: racing tecq 255, replaced the plugs and wires, replaced the mass air flow sensor, replaced the 0-2 sensor, replaced the stock intake with a honeycomb filter, replaced the oil cooler. Should i replace the pressure sensor!? My friend said there could be air in the fuel line or the timming is off. Im just lost!

you took the stock exhaust off,Correct?..so you wil have to Set the idle again to Compensate for the Free flow, rather than the Hindering of the catalytic...Also,I am wondering why you have a 255 Lph Pump on the car...do you have an SAFC or anything on the car?

I suspect it may be your TPS is going, it's a common problem with FC's these days.
Post over in the Richmond thread https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...43677&page=207 somone may have an extra one or at least help you test it out

Well you look at second gen forum and I see at least a dozen TPS threads pop up every week with the same symptoms.

At least he doesn't have our overheating problem.....yet.

Make sure there isn't an unplugged, misplaced, or cracked vacuum line.

not to be a bad news bear but it sounds like you have a blown rotor. If it's down on power and you can't let the clutch out without it stalling it is probably done.
