Help

I have a 89 vert n/a and when you hit the gas down about 1/4 way it bogs out and if its isnt in any gear sometimes stalls out. It really sucks driving like this cause i gain speed so slow.

Also when i turn my headlights on, my idle goes up to 2500 - 3000 and and i can hit the gas and there is no hesitation. I think this would be a electric problem that is causeing everything.

Check resistances values at your AFM. Make sure they are all in spec.

Air flow meter, but the real name is Mass Air Flow Sensor.

Running an NA? Is it stock?

If it's stock, it's bolted to the stock air box. It basically measures all air going into the motor. If it is fucked up, your car will be thinking it's getting either more or less air than it really is, and compensates by giving more or less fuel, which will result in running extremely shitty... cause it's incorrect, lol

There's links in the FAQ at the top of the page on where to download a FSM for these cars. Download it and go from there.

Good luck tracking it down.

No prob. All specs and info on it should be found in the FSM.

And FYI... O2 sensor doesn't really do **** till your in closed loop mode... IE steady throttle for a good amount of time. Helps net better fuel mileage by keeping the motor closer to stoichiometric AFR's.

Haynes should have it too. In the FAQ you can download the FSM... that's why everyone's been directing you there.

And next time you're ready to start a new thread, try using the search button. Most of the **** you'll probably ask has been covered, countless times, lol.

Good luck bro, and READ THE FAQ!

This place has TONS of information about these cars.

Again, good luck with your toy!
