Help!!!
Please help!! I broke a spark plug in the hole. It broke off right before the threaded area on the plug. So, all the threaded area is still in there. Any ideas on how to get it out? I'm very open to suggestions. Thanks

It's the lead (bottom front of car) and no there's not much at all. It feels like it's porceline(sp?) with just the metal outside for threads. I was thinking of JB welding something to it but I'm just not sure.

planning on an engine rebuild anytime soon?, j/k...only thing I can think of would be to try to remove as much of the ceramic/ inner conductor as you can (to get some "grab points" going), then take some needlenose pliers and spread the tips apart as far as you can in there, and try to turn it that way, maybe get a crescent wrench on the swivel point on the needle nose to help you turn it...if it was stuck in there bad enough to break it, though, I don't know...

i guess you could disconnect the ECU so you don't fry it and try welding something the the inside of the plug after you remove as much of that **** as possible??
that is .. if you have a welder?

Broke from torque... so far a friend says I should drill a groove in it with a dremel and then heat it up and try unscrewing it. Any one else?

I'd PM that old fart GAMBONE and ask him some questions.
JBWELD ain't gonna cut it. Sorry. Don't waste your time on that thought.
Frankly I don't know just what I'd do either. Unfortunatly I'd probably drill the guts out and use a screw extractor.....but then you have to ask *whar did all those drill shaving go to???*. Duh.
So. Is all the hex part of the plug really gone?????? And how did you do that????? In detail, how did it break off???

DON'T weld it! that's an aluminum housing there, for one thing...did you try the thing with the needlenose?...dude, I hate to say it, but I think you're screwed...the good news? it'll be easy to get out once you pull the engine apart

I had the socket on it and tried to loosen it. It wouldn't budge. I tried again with better leverage and the whole hex part broke off. All that is left in there is the treaded area and the stuff in it.

it's not going to do any good heating it up- that'll make it worse...if anything, you need to cool it down so that it's outer diameter "shrinks" in relation to the housing threaded bore...got any liquid nitrogen?
