Angry heavy smoking

I have an 87 turbo 2.I installed an 88 turbo 2 motor that was in a friends car.The motor had about 44k miles on it,anyways it smokes real bad at idle.I changed the turbo with another stock one because the seals were bad. After that I made sure there was no oil in the i/c.Car smokes heavy white clouds still.I also smell gas when I mash off,no smoke between shifts only when I come to a stoplight or idle. MODS.Apexi S-AFC.Apexi S-AVCR,K&N filter. No cats,HKS plugs,

The Stand Alone, I have played with them for a while and if they are not right on than they will do some fucked up stuff. I still can't figure out how to help a friend out and his Turbo II, sorry just exchanging sympathy
