heater help (blows cold)
ok so i've been searching and found some help but not all. my problem is when i turn the heater on it blows cold air or ambient to be technical about it. the blower seems to be fine as i can control the speed of the air coming out the vents. i can also switch between the settings (feet, feet and face, defrost) but when i move the cold to hot setting nothing changes. i burped my cooling system by turning on the car and filling it up i also had the heater all the way on. i checked both the inlet and outlet hoses in the fire wall and they are not warm or hot when they top radiator hose is hot. i do know that if one is hot not the other it means something is blocking the heater core. and if they are both are cold it can be the logicon or heater control valve (not exactly sure what or where that is)
so basically i'm leaning towards my logicon or heater control valve. what do you guys think and how should i fix it. should i swap logicons with someone and see what happens then try switching the control valve?

The logicons on FCs are just famously unreliable, and I know I've had many problems with mine. In fact mine is broken AGAIN right now and I need to swap it with another one in my garage...
Anyway, if you have a friend with a working heater, then the first thing I would do is try swapping logicons and see if that fixes your problem. If that doesn't work then go after the control valve.

both hoses being cold does not mean that there isn't a blockage in the heater core.
move the temp slider while making sure the blend door motor arm is working properly(it is right above the gas pedal on the heater box above the tranny). if it is moving properly then your heater core is plugged up or you have air in the system still.

where is the heater control valve. I'm working on the car right now but don't see it. Is it inside the black box behind the glove box. I can hear something moving behind the dash when I move the tempeture control. And I can see something moving right behind the vents when I change settings on where the heat comes from. Thanks for the help btw.
